A is For Aniexty

Many people across the whole seem to be suffering from something called Anxiety, but What is Anxiety? Who is more likely to have Anxiety? How to cure or cope with Anxiety? Why is Anxiety more common then you realize? and Could you be effected by Anxiety?

When many people hear the word Anxiety they automatically think things such as panic attacks and freaking out but what if I told you that avoiding your crush is also Anxiety. You would probably look at me like I'm crazy. This might leave you with the question of, What is Anxiety?  Anxiety is kind of like being scared without actually have a reason to be, It could also be phobia of some sort. It can be something as mild as not wanting to go to on a ride at a theme park because of fear of the rides and the major form of anxiety could actually cause attacks. It is triggered by stress so the level of stress your under could effect you anxiety levels.

So that brings us to the question '' Who's is more likely to have Anxiety"?. You probably guessed it Anxiety can effect anyone and has effected everyone at some point in their lives. Rather it was going to a Job Interview or Getting Married we have all felt the intense heart beats,sweaty palms, and butterflies in our stomach. The problem comes when you alway anxious about something. Which would be call Anxiety Disorders.

Anxiety Disorders are mainly when you always feel the hint of fear about someone or somehing. Maybe something happened in your child hood that made you feel anxious and that all you've felt since then. You were teased growing up so every time your around people you wonder how many of them are laughing at you. So you just avoid large crowds all together.

When Anxiety cause you to live in bondage you have a problem. Apart from going to the doctor for help. There are ways to cope with aniexty without drugs. Here are a list of things you can do:

  • Art and Craft
  • Write
  • Read Books
  • Exercise
  • Affirmations
  • Dance
What ever could get your mind off of how your feeling.

Arts and Craft can stimulate your mind in a way where it cause your to focus on our creation without limitations.  The best thing about being a crafty person or simply going the crafty way to soothe your anxiety is that it's your masterpiece and only you could decided rather or not it's beautiful or not. So if the restrictions of day to day life cause you to almost dread normal activities. I suggest crafting, It could be painting, sculpting, knitting or simply just drawing.

Writing is another outlet of letting it all out. Some of us hold so much inside of us it adds more stress to any other stressful situation that might come your way. If your boyfriend/ girlfriend broke up with you last night and you went to work today only to be laid off. You would automatically feel like your life is falling apart right? So write especially if you feel as if you have no one to talk to. Get yourself a Journal and record every day and if you don't feel comfortable with that "in case someone runs across it on your coffee table and decides to take a piece write it in third person as if it was a story.

Read Books, My mom always keep a book. She would say that book cause your mind to travel to different places and at the moment when your mind is causing to to be a nervous reck take it to another place.

Exercise can boost up your whole body and although we dread working out sometimes no one can't admit to the fact that after they work out they feel so much better. I mean soooo much better until the pain of tired muscles hit you.

Affirmations is basically positively talking to ones self . Looking in the mirror and saying something like " You are Beautiful,Smart and Blessed" every morning can totally change how you approach your entire day. So when you find your self in a situation where your likely to have an anxiety attack say a affirmation over and over again in your head and you would basically convince yourself you could conquer the world.

Dancing is another form of exercising but moving your body to you favorite music does something to your soul. At that moment you are the star and as long as you push your self to continue to move to the beat and put you mind on the lyrics instead of those hindering thoughts  you would be fine.


Anxiety is something that is more common then many people think. Rather its a major case or minor one. If you feel that you could be apart of the many who suffers from it try those tips above and see if it makes you handle your anxiousness a little bit better. It doesn't have to be those things in general but find something you love to do and  do them when ever you need to in order to make you feel better.If not go to the doctor get a proper diagnosis and speak to them about medicine that can help you cope with Anxiety.
