It's a proven fact that Technology has made us smarter in some areas in our lives, but it seems that were advancing in some ways but lacking in other areas. Have Social Media cause us to lose our senses and compassion to things going on in the world. Here are my views on Social Media and Everyday Technology that are used by the masses (Including Myself) Let's get into it.
I'm going to start my statement off be saying that I to am a Social Media Junkie, But over the years my need for being on Social Media Posting my life story every single day have decreased dramatically. I started to noticed how Social Media was like carrying High School in your Pockets at all times. You have the popular pages with tons of followers and likes, The Cool pages that everyone follows not because they're good but because the person themselves is someone the majority wants to bang (Let's Be Real). The Geek page with Fewer Followers and Likes because the person isn't as popular and they actually post things that aren't has juicy as the Popular Pages or as Superficial as the Cool Pages, and Then you have your page the one page that is a kind in its own category it's like a mixture of all the other pages but for some reason your not really into the mix because you can care less about the Drama all that other crap brings. Is this starting to sound familiar to you?
Okay, so unlike High School. On Social Media you kind of have a general idea of the demon's lurking on the inside of your peers based on the things they post.
For Example: Most of my Facebook Friends can probably tell you that a few years ago I went through a very bad heartbreak then relocated to North Carolina from New Jersey just based off of the things I post. I in return can tell you who on my Facebook Page is a Mother or Father base off of what they post. Some people have gone to far with the things they post these days for example. A few weeks ago I came across an article about a young man who killed his classmate and decided "Hey let me Snap Chat this" What was going through his mind? Probably the need to throw salt on open wounds, Maybe he was bragging, or He just wanted to take a Selfie. In no way am I saying what he did was right but who in the world commits murder then broadcast it on Social Media. That was pretty Dumb Ass Decision.
How about the Guys and Girls that openly flash Drug and Gang Paraphilia. Do these people not know that one thing about our government is that they have access to everyone's accounts. Don't think for a second the your password really means that no one but you can access your accounts. There use to be a time where we wanted to keep certain things private including Relationship Struggles, Occupations, Anything Illegal that we are doing and Other things.
On Social Media I've started to realize that people tend to make fun of things that aren't worth making fun of and I see that parents are starting to video tape there children for the world to see. Your child should not be in a viral video on the internet period. Now a video you share amongst your friends that okay but when you post it with the thought of the world seeing your child I disagree with that. They're a lot of sick people in this world preying on young children, and if Little Zoey is all over the internet dancing and cursing like she grown. There is some sick person watching and some even are plotting on her grown ass. What happened to protecting your children from strangers or even social services? What you post of your children reflects on you as a parent. Posting videos(I've seen to many) of your child cursing and doing grown people things are no where near being cute. When video such as these are put in the wrong hand you yourself could lose you child only for a few hundred likes and shares.
I have seen people being laughed at for being ugly when they suffer from skin discoloration , People thinking it funny because a teenager got jumped on video, a girl being raped and All sorts of things. Where is the Compassion?
We live in a age where technology is at the best it has ever been yet the minds of the people are slowly starting to fall short.
Before some people feel some type of a way I stated that I too love social media, but I have learned that you truly have to be cautious of the things you post and everything is good if it's done in moderation.
Love You Guys!
Petals Falling Until Next Time! XOXO!
