Living
Your Life For You!
They’re various things in life that can cause us hold
back on ourselves. Our family’s opinion of how we should be, societal
influences of what is considered a perfect life, and the progression of our
peers.
We often feel as if something is wrong with us when
other people expectations of our lives doesn’t match what living as who we are
actually is.
I already wrote a blog about individuality but now I want
to elaborate on the importance of being comfortable with your life not being
like everyone else’s because I feel as if there’s a misconception of what we
should be like during every stage of our lives.
For Example: Just because everyone is settling down
and starting a family during their twenties doesn’t mean that your selfish or
irresponsible because you aren’t.
I personally encounter this situation a lot people who
literally look at me like “When are you going to have a baby” and judge me
based off the fact that I respond with saying “I’m not ready yet, I want to
first be able to stand completely on my own two feet before I bring a baby into
this world”.
When
did your life start to belong to someone else?
I ask this question because people tend to judge you based off of their own
lives. Just because your friend have a child they tend to low-key make you feel
like it’s a negative thing because your don’t have one.
To be completely honest most of the people that judge
your short comings aren’t very happy with the life they live. Someone who
constantly call you out for always being the single friend. Is most likely in a
relationship with someone who constantly cheats on them, disrespect them, or it
simply just an unhappy union between two people
You
have to discover the things that not only make you who you are but makes you
happy about being who you are and indulge yourself in yourself.
For example: I love crafting and for years I haven’t
been able to craft. I was going around here feeling empty for along time until I
decided to buy a sketch book. That’s when I remembered that craft and drawing have been apart of my
life every since I could remember and without crafting I’m not being me. So now
I’m planning on doing a craft haul in the near future so I can indulge in
something that makes me feel good about being me.
You
have to also realize that its better to do it the right way instead of rushing
to do it because someone condemns you for not having it done.
What I mean by this is to Take your time, Invest in
your life, and Practice for the life
you envision yourself having.
